Center for Global Action…and me!

As some of you may know, I was originally hired onto the Interview team here at AIM. I interviewed participants to go on the World Race, Gap Year, and Passport programs. Mission trips ranging from 11 months (WR), 9 months (Gap Year) to 1-3 months (Passport). It was one of the most stretching and growing jobs as I had to discern whether participants were in a healthy place emotionally, spiritually, and physically to launch on their trip. I loved it! I heard incredible stories that brought depth and constant interaction with people eager to serve.

Through that job I was able to discover greater passions and interests that led me to some conversations with my leadership and my now role with CGA. CGA is a second year program (second year modeled after the three year model of discipleship that Jesus lived on earth). I am so passionate about this second year program! CGA is five months of discipleship and leadership training in which we walk our participants through teachings and activations of their faith, identity, leadership, conflict, missions, and so much more all while living in community. Our participants get jobs in the Gainesville, GA community in efforts to minister, be a light, and put into action what they are learning.

My role with CGA is a program coordinator. I wear several hats, but it mostly consists of all admissions into the program, event planning, leadership teachings, and discipleship curriculum. I have hit such a sweet spot with this role! I get to use things I learned in my Interview job as I continue interviews for the program, and overall care for the participants as they go on a journey of receiving and activating what God is calling them into. It’s an honor to witness.

I will continue to post updates as our new class begins their semester October 6th (we have 33 already committed!). In the mean time here is a picture of our Summer Class at their graduation (small but mighty). Thank you all for believing in what God has placed before me and being a part of my support team. . Your friendship means the world to me!

With Love,
Ana
